  1. Hi:

I am not an astrologer, and I wonder how can I calculate what my Earth Sign is based on my birth date and time?

    Thanks,
    M

    1. Hi Molly!
Sorry I am so slow to answer. Life has been crazy for me this year. In answer to your question, you do not have to be an astrologer to get your Earth sign. It is easy. What ever your Sun sign is, the opposite sign is your earth sign. Look at any natural zodiac wheel, that is, one that starts with Aries and look to the one that is 180 degrees from your sign. The opposite of Aries is Libra, etc. If you still have any trouble, drop me another line and tell me your Sun and I will answer a lot faster this time! Thanks.C

  2. I began studying astrology in May 2021. At the end of my first week, I wondered: how is possible that acknowledge is given to the influence of planets (including Sun, Moon and Stars) 220,000+ miles to light years away, but ignore the influence of the one planet so close to us that we literally sit and stand upon it??? That’s how I came across your book. I’m continuing my studies, but I’m curious to know if you can direct me to any chart-creating software that allows for the inclusion of Earth without resorting to heliocentric charts which include Earth but omit Sun.

    1. Hi Skip! I am not here very often as you can see from the slow reply. Sorry about that. Solar Fire astrology software is the Cadillac of software for astrologers. It’s not cheap but it has just about anything you could want and fairly user friendly. You can include Earth, Chiron, even Vulcan if you want and control what stays and what goes. In other words, keep the Sun and anything else in a chart. Hope that helps. Thanks for looking at my book. I’ll start looking here more often! Cynthia

  3. Hello Cynthia,
Thank you for your book Earth Rise. The whole topic is amazingly perfect for our times. I have been struggling to organize a process around this topic and you have done all of the work and it’s all perfect.
Do you do mentoring or workshops on this process? It is most desperately needed.
Thank you so much for your profound work.

    1. THANK YOU so much Mary! As you can tell I am almost never here at this web site. So sorry I am late. No, I don’t do any workshops or mentoring on Earth. I teach beginning astrology now and again when I have enough interest in it. You made my day with your kind words. C.W.

    1. Thank YOU Heidi for your kind words. Yes, I do know that. (smile) She needs all the help she can get these days doesn’t she? Sorry I am late in responding I just don’t check in very often here. Thank you again for responding. C.W.

  4. Hi Cynthia.

Wanted to thank you for writing such a great book. I’m looking forward to reading it ASAP, and I completely agree that it’s bizarre indeed, of most human astrologers to attribute so much meaning to other planets, yet not to the one upon which they live. And furthermore, especially to Earth’s relationship to the center (the Sun), which we are orbiting, as well as the nature of our orbit, and where the Earth is when looking from the Sun (which is the center, which is why it is important, as you know).

I think that this dichotomy of the human condition reflects a deeper issue most people have… one of not being able to truly surrender to a higher power. One of thinking that only humans truly matter on this beautiful Earth, since we are, after all, the ‘dominant’ species. But what does that even truly mean?

I believe that each lifeform holds wisdoms and inklings of God’s Love which we can only hear if we choose to listen fully. Each one can teach one… so long as we are truly open from our hearts.

People may argue, using the basis that astrology is an observational science, based only on our observations from Earth. That is well and good, but we know by now that the Sun is the center of our SOLar system… it’s why it is named so. We know by now, that humans are not the most important, and we know by now, that it is EGO-centric to think that we are. Ego is when we are Edging God Out…

It seems and truly IS negligent indeed to omit the Earth like this. And honestly, it’s a telling fracture of the way we as the human species neglect Earth on a day-to-day basis, in these times.

I give gratitude to God (which, to me, is not founded in any religion, but only enhanced and further defined by All… the Great Omnipresent Divinity… throughout and beyond gender… as is, to me… the Earth, It’s most complete and willing Magnum Opus) that beings like you exist to inspire and uplift those who know and want to share in gleeful recognition, the beauty that is right beneath our noses!

It is much like the basis for the story ‘The Alchemist’ by Paolo Coelho. Have you read that?

Well, I also wanted to let you know, that I am a writer, and I have been writing and channeling my own 360-degree astrological symbols, called the ‘EarthHeart’ symbols, which resonate most with the degree of the Earth sign (although they can be read for any other placement one may have).

In my book (which will be a compendium of 9 other astrological symbologies, with the EarthHeart symbol being the tenth symbol, that sort of ties all the others back together, bringing them back to zero… a reset– clean slate to remember the pureness of creation in the concept of zer0, if you catch my drift), I am gleaning knowledge from various resourceful astrologers, and I’d love to quote your work and cite you as a source if you’d give me permission to. Would that be okay?

Thanks so much either way, for all you’ve done, in advance.

If you’d like, you can email me anytime, at the address I’ve provided.

Stay well, resilient, and honoringly humble.

    Sincerely,
    Kryxtian Black

    1. Dear Kryxtian, Thank you for such a complex and flattering letter. I appreciate it so much. I must apologize that this is so late. My schedule is crazy right now but I will give a more fitting reply when I get a chance. IN the meantime I wanted to let you know that of course you can quote me if you are still writing on this topic. I would be honored. Thank you again and have a nice holiday.
